Parents are encouraged to support Kirkness School's theme of 'WONDER, WISDOM and WISHES'.
The parent group 'wishes' that Kirkness students be inspired daily to 'wonder' about the world around them. Our parent group strives to support the 'wonder' that allows this curiosity to thrive.

School Council

• Includes every parent of a student, along with staff and members of the Kirkness community
• Strives to have representatives within the diversity of Kirkness school
• Provides input to the school philosophy, planning, programs and policy
• Endeavors to help all students reach their potential
• Encourages active participation in the school
• Promotes unity within Kirkness School

Parent Advisory Committee

• PAC supports the 'Wonder, Wisdom and Wishes' theme by supporting the principal, staff and volunteers in school community and school activities through fundraising
• Raise and provide support through volunteer time and money for activities that enhance Kirkness students' learning

Research shows that parent involvement has more influence than anything else on a child's education.

Watch your school newsletter for dates and times of these monthly meetings. We encourage all parents and guardians to attend meetings and volunteer. No matter how little time you have, your time is appreciated and benefits all students. Please look for more information posted on our Parent Bulletin Board outside the office.
